English and Welsh school applications now closed!
Since 2021, TRC has aimed to help schools grow an active ethos that benefits pupils, staff, parents, carers, and the wider community.
In 2023, with funding from London Marathon Events and support from England Athletics, we launched the TRC Hub Schools programme. Fifteen educators from across England completed an England Athletics Leadership in Running course, enabling them to start Run Together groups within their school communities.
Thinking of becoming a TRC Hub School?
What it Means to be a Hub School:
- A member of your staff will complete online training with Welsh or England Athletics, qualifying them as a Run Leader.
- They will gain access to termly TRC workshops, providing ongoing support and connecting them with a growing network of teachers who have also completed the course.
- Your Run Leader will establish an inclusive run club tailored to your school community. This could involve staff, parents, past pupils, and local community members. Every school is unique, and you have the flexibility to shape your club to fit your needs!
As well as London Marathon Events, we are now working with Run Wales and The Youth Sport Trust, if you are a funder and wish to support a cohort of TRC run leaders in your area, please get in touch!
